So What Does Music Have To Do With Holistic Cancer Treatment?
… a lot. Music holds a special place in the hearts of the founders of the BoStrong Foundation. You can read Bo’s story here. We believe that music plays an important role in the healing process. One focus of the BoStrong Foundation’s mission is to create healing spaces for musicians as well as non-musician cancer fighters where they can experience mental, spiritual, emotional and physical healing through music. With this mission in mind, the BoStrong Foundation partnered with The Ulman Foundation to build such a space in their Ulman House. Bo Oliver was an incredible person – son, brother, fiancé, nephew, cousin, grandson, friend, musician and all around human being. He was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma, a rare pediatric bone cancer, in March of 2012, while a sophomore in high school.

Music and Healing in the BoStrong Music Room
BoStrong is honored to be able to support a great musician and artist in the BoStrong Music Room at the Ulman House. Duane (Awil as he is known) is battling a rare form of cancer at Johns Hopkins and is staying at the Ulman House during his treatments.
